I’M SOPHIE, A MESS-MAKER.
My NYC apartment is far too small to reasonably accommodate my crafting habit(s), which include, but are not limited to: Paper crafts, resin projects, jewelry making, clay creations, acrylic paint pouring, glass etching, wood burning, and candle making. My gem of a partner — and two cats, Mochi and Uni — have graciously sacrificed half of the (limited) space we have for my supplies.
City Craft Club is an apartment-dweller’s guide to blissful, whimsical creation — with a side of small-space storage tips, chic shopping suggestions, and, of course, cat content, sprinkled in.
We all deserve a happy haven in which to create, experiment, fail, and drink rosé — blissfully unbothered by daily demands…even if we can carve out but a few square feet.
As is, I’d imagine, the case for most city-dwelling crafters, my apartment is far too small to reasonably accommodate my habit(s), which include, but are not limited to: Paper crafts, resin projects, jewelry making, clay creations, acrylic paint pouring, glass etching, wood burning, and candle making. My gem of a partner — and two cats, Mochi and Uni — have graciously sacrificed half of our second bedroom (slash office, slash guest-room) for me to play, create, and store my ever-growing mountain of craft supplies.
